1940s End of The Day Robe
Extremely cool 1940s wool dressing gown. "End of the day" construction is a much sought after 1940s and 50s design. Swatches of fabric left over at the end of the day used to make a garment. Shirts blazers etc. Sometimes the garment may have an entire sleeve on one fabric and the other in a different color or pattern. This robe is made up of squares of suit material and is lined in watered satin. Shawl collar. Braided rope belt. good condition. Has several moth holes that may be fixed by swapping out the square they are in with suiting from the period or simple hand darning. Size Small chest 36" Shoulder to shoulder 16" Sleeve 22"
