Vintage Irene 1950s Suit
A wonderful original design by Irene lentz, A famous MGM costume designer. She began as a silent film actress and moved to costume design creating clothing for the likes of Lana Turner ( The Postman Always Rings Twice) Constance bennet and more. This wool suits has an unusual jacket design with a leather gaucho belt that goes under the cape back. The narrow pencil skirt is the epitome of sexy. Lined in silk crepe. Condition is excellent apart from a couple tiny moth nips which can be found under very close careful examination. Bust 36" Shoulders 16.5" Jacket length 22". Waist 24" Hips 34" length 27.5"
