1940s Novelty Diamond Check Dress

Forties Silky Rayon Twill Dress in a bold red and white novelty check. The fabric is semi-sheer. Dolman 3/4 length sleeves. 2 sections of shirring at the waist. 2 reach-in pockets on the hips. Square pearlized glass buttons down the front. Self belt. The looks is relaxed and sultry with an avant-garde air to it. Shoulderpads add a little kick. Excellent vintage condition - the belt has some dark age discoloration - slight and exaggerated by the photography lights. Bust 36" - 38", Waist 28", Shoulder to waist 18", Hips to 40", Waist to hem 31".
