1930s Two Tone Knit Dress & Jacket

Teal and lichen green light weight boucle knit wool dress with matching jacket. A rare 1930s original by Lansburghs of Washington DC. (Original owner worked at the State Dept) Crepe silk lining in the jacket. Classic 30s details include top stitched lapel, Perfectly constructed shoulder with capped sleeve. The sheared beaver pocket details were removed for dry cleaning and can be omitted if you object to fur. it is a simple job to whip stitch them back on. We can do this for you if you like. The dress has a long ever so slightly flared skirt. Side metal zip and two tiny functional pockets on the chest. A short zipper at the nape to ease donning this gem.Sadly both the dress and jacket are missing their original belts. Owner's daught precisely dated this to 1939 and 40 with photographs for us. Excellent condition with two small unobtrucive darns on the pockets of the jacket-replacing the fur will hide these. Bust 36-38" Waist 27" Hips 36" Shoulder to waist 16" Waist to hem 28"
